Drying of different product is common practice for storing various products. Traditional process of drying is sun drying, but have quality problems such as contamination with dust, rotten colour, long drying time. Electrical dryers are easily available and have good quality control capacity, but electricity is one major problem in rural areas. RuTAG-IITG developed a biomass fired natural convection dryer. Different item can be dried with this single dryer. Manufactured with locally available materials. Drying efficiency was found 15.14% for batch drying and 24% for continuous drying.
